Next
Inshallah, Ramadan will begin on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The 1st Taraweeh will be on Friday, April 1, 2022 and Tarawih Prayers will start at 9:30 PM sharp.
Please note that the masjid will be open with out any restrictions during Ramadan. However, there will be no babysitting, and so therefore those with small children should take care of their children.
Officers will also on site for increased security throughout the month.
The IOST will also provide water throughout the month during Tarawih, but we ask that you bring your own water bottle. In an effort to reduce waste, cups will be not provided.
There will also be a daily iftar everyday, which will be available for pickup at 6 PM. (There will be no community iftars due to COVID this year). We are looking for people to help us with the costs of the iftars, and so if you would like to sponsor an iftar, you can do so by clicking here.
The IOST will have daily iftars distributed during Ramadan. Additionally, there will be Tarawih prayers each night at 9:30 PM.

Prayer Schedule
The prayer schedule timings are based on the masjid, which is located in Johnson City. We ask everyone to add a few minutes if you are living in neighboring towns to make sure you are breaking your fast on time.
Daily Iftar/Iftar Sponsorship
The IOST provides daily iftar at the masjid for those who are not able to make food for themselves. Anyone is welcome to come to the masjid at 6 PM daily and pick up an iftar. There is no option of eating at the masjid this year, due to COVID. Inshallah in future years, we hope to have community iftars as well.
Tarawih Information
Inshallah, this year, the IOST will have 20 Rakahs Tarawih Prayers. The Tarawih will start at 9:30 PM from Ramadan 1-15 and at 9:45 PM from Ramadan 16-30.
This year, we will be completing the entire Qur’an in Tarawih, and therefore the prayers will be roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The Tarawih will be led by Imam Anas Shaikh, and our guest, Hafidh Niaz from Detroit.
After 8 rakahs, Imam Anas will be doing a series of talks titled, ‘Quranic Duas’. Each night, he will spend 10-15 minutes going over a dua from the Qur’an and what it means and why we should make this dua.
