Childcare
Small children making noise will not be permitted in the prayer halls and parents with small children should pray downstairs. Please be mindful of others when bringing children.
Option 1: Paid Child Care ($100/Month)
Paid child care will be available on weekends & last ten nights of Ramadan. Childcare will be held in the community center building, adjacent to the masjid building.
AGES 3-9 ONLY (10+ WITH PARENTS)
Parents can volunteer 1-2 days to waive the childcare fee.
Option 2: Open Play & Open Pray
Parents are welcome to pray downstairs during Taraweeh with their small children.

TIMINGS: AFTER FAJR & BEFORE MAGHRIB

Details: Each day, Imam Sofian will do a short 10 minute
Dhikr & Dua session after Fajr prayer, and before
iftar/Maghrib. We encourage everyone to attend
& break fast in the masjid.

TIMINGS: AFTER FAJR
Led By: Imam Sofian Mayet
Details: Every day, Imam Sofian will spend 10 minutes
going over various hadith related to Ramadan, its
rulings, and the virtues of fasting. This will be held
after the Dhikr.

Surah Kahf Explanation
TIMINGS: KHATIRAH AFTER 8 RAKAHS
Led By: Imam Anas Shaikh
Details: After 8 rakahs daily, Imam Anas will hold a 10 minute
khatirah going over a few verses of Surah Kahf each
day. This is a surah that teaches us how to protect
our faith in today’s day and age.

Details: A sisters only halaqah, led by Sister Areeba Baig, on the

meant to serve as a wake up call. Held in-person & online.

Ramadan Activities
FIRST EVER IFTAR EXPO
Saturday, April 6, 2024
Join us for an evening of iftars at the masjid! On Saturday, April 6, 2024, IOST will host an ‘iftar expo’ where different local restaurants and businesses will showcase and sell their iftars to the community.
IOST is looking for vendors to sign up for selling iftars. Vendor booths are free.
SISTERS QIYAAM
Evening of Friday, March 22, 2024 (13th Night of Ramadan)
After Taraweeh prayer end, all sisters are encouraged to join us for our annual Sisters Qiyaam, featuring talks and programs by sisters, qiyaams by local sisters, dhikr, bonding activities, and suhoor. All sisters are welcome and those under the age of 15 should have an adult with them.
GRAND QIYAAM
Evening of Friday, April 5, 2024 (27th Night of Ramadan)
Inshallah, the IOST will host its ‘Grand Qiyaam’ on the 27th night of Ramadan. There will be different worships throughout the night, with dhikr, duas, tahajjud prayers, lectures, and more. Suhoor will also be served. IOST will also have qiyaams in all last 10 nights of Ramadan.
FIRST FAST CELEBRATIONS
Saturday, April 6, 2024 (After Isha Prayer)
Is your child going to do a full fast for the first time this Ramadan? If so, IOST will honor them with a recognition and gift in front of the community after Isha Prayer on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
RAMADAN KNIGHTS

Calling all youth to take the Ramadan Knights challenge! IOST will have a set of challenges during Ramadan, and those with the most points at the end will receive a special award. Challenges will consist of different ibadah done during the month of Ramadan.
RAMADAN FAMILY TIME
Every Saturday from 5 PM to 6 PM
Ramadan Family Time is held from 5 pm to 6 pm each Saturday in Ramadan. Join us as we have short halaqah, along with some games and activities for children. This event is free and each week we will have different topics to go over!

IOST will have dates, water, and light refreshments everyday at iftar time at the masjid. We encourage to come for maghrib prayer and break your fast at the Masjid.

Ramadan Expenses
There are many programs & activities held during the month of Ramadan. Our costs (besides iftars) are around $30,000.
Masjid Operations
During the month of Ramadan, consider supporting our masjid operations. The masjid is run 100% by donations.
Zakat
IOST distributes all zakat received to those in need. We do not use any zakat money for our operations.
