Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Hifdh-ul-Quran Academy is a dedicated full-time program offered at the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier. Students will learn to recite the Qur’an with proper pronunciation while progressively memorizing new verses each day. Our mission is to provide a structured and supportive environment to help students complete the memorization of the entire Qur’an while instilling a deep love and understanding of its teachings.
To enroll in the Hifdh-ul-Qur’an Academy, start by submitting an online interest form. Once we receive your application, a team member will reach out to schedule an in-person interview. After the interview, you will receive a link to the school portal, where you can complete your enrollment, submit the required documents and fees, and prepare to begin classes. For more details, feel free to contact our organization and inquire about the enrollment process.
The duration of the Hifdh-ul-Qur’an program varies for each student, depending on their dedication, memorization skills, and study time. On average, students take between 2 to 4 years to complete the memorization of the entire Qur’an. However, progress may differ based on individual commitment and learning pace.

Program Schedule
Our Hifdh-ul-Qur’an program operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, including dedicated breaks for refreshments and social interaction.

Afternoon Academics
Students conclude their Hifdh studies at 1:30 PM and transition to academic instruction. Through our partnership with Bayaan Academy, we offer optional academic programs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Alternatively, families may choose homeschooling or other educational arrangements.

Evening Practice
To ensure consistent progress, students are required to dedicate 1 to 1.5 hours each evening for Qur’an memorization at home. Increased dedication to practice naturally accelerates the completion of Qur’an memorization, inshaAllah.

IOST is currently accepting applications for boys and girls aged 7 and above (grades 3 and up). Admissions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, prioritizing the commitment of both the student and their parents.

For adult students interested in memorizing the Qur’an, we invite you to reach out to us, and we will gladly arrange a suitable schedule.

After completing the Hifdh-ul-Qur’an, students will have the honorable achievement of memorizing the entire Qur’an. IOST will, inshaAllah, award a certificate and diploma to recognize this accomplishment. Students can continue to refine their recitation and deepen their understanding of Qur’anic teachings. In the future, IOST plans to offer higher Islamic education once the Hifdh-ul-Qur’an Academy is well established.
