Inshallah, Ramadan 2023 will start on Thursday, March 23, 2023. The first taraweeh will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9:15 PM.

2 JUMUAH PRAYERS IN RAMADAN
Due to the high volume of attendees during the month of Ramadan, IOST will be having 2 jumuah prayers during the month. Please try to attend the second jumuah if you can.
1st Jumuah Khutbah: 1:15 PM | Salah: 1:40 PM
2nd Jumuah Khutbah: 2:15 PM | Salah: 2:40 PM
Please be sure to follow the guidelines of the police officers on site and do not park illegally or block someone when parking.

TARAWEEH PRAYERS & GUIDELINES
Alhamdulillah, the IOST will be celebrating Ramadan this year with the community as in previous years. We will inshallah have daily taraweeh prayers and complete the entire Qur'an in Ramadan. We are expecting record numbers in attendance, so we ask everyone to be on their best behavior, follow the taraweeh guidelines, and to list to the police officers and security guards we will have on staff.

DAILY IFTARS PROVIDED
CONSIDER SPONSORING AN IFTAR TODAY!
Alhamdulillah, the IOST provides daily iftar to those in need at the masjid. The costs of these iftars throughout the month equal to over $30,000. Please consider sponsoring an iftar or contributing towards this cause. If you would like to pick up iftar, it will be distributed at 6:45 PM each day.

THIS RAMADAN LEARN WITH IOST COMMUNITY
Inshallah, at IOST we will be arranging different educational programs that will be held throughout the month of Ramadan.
- Our daily programs include a small talk after 8 rakahs by Imam Anas.
- Every morning after Fajr, Imam Sofian will be going over a short hadith on the small actions that lead to Jannah.
- Our weekly programs include a weekly sisters' only halaqah titled, “Women in the Qur'an” led by Sister Areeba, the IOST's resident female scholar, on Saturdays at 12:30 PM.
- The IOST will have a community halaqah on Saturdays after Dhuhr, titled, “The Heart of the Qur'an: Tafseer of Surah Yaseen”.

RAMADAN INITIATIVES
Alhamdulillah, the IOST has a few initiatives in Ramadan to serve our community in a better way.
- IOST reusable food-graded water bottles will be for sale to reduce waste.
- IOST is looking for few helping hands during this Ramadan. Please apply if you have the interest to serve the community.
- Babysitting facilities will be available for parents who are coming to our masjid for Taraweeh with their kids.

OUR SERVICES:
Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah (swt), the IOST is able to provide a large range of services such as religious, counseling, social, and outreach services. Please click below to learn more and contact us to avail any of our services.
The mosque is open for all 5 daily prayers, as well as weekly during the Friday jumuah prayers. The Friday khutbah begins at 1:15 PM and the Jumuah prayer is at 1:40 PM. Please see here for complete prayer times.
Our Imam can perform your marriage and is an official marriage officiant in New York State. If you would like to get your nikah/marriage performed, please contact our Imam, and he will be able to explain the process.
IOST offers full fledged funeral service. We have partnered with a local funeral home (Hopler & Eshpauk) to arrange transportation, legal paperwork, and ghusl. IOST also has its own cemetery, located at 100 East Maine, Road, Town of Union. We offer burial services, and can also help you with transportation of loved ones to wherever you wish.
If you are getting married soon, or have trouble within marriage, our Imam offers a pre-marital counseling session. This is so that each spouse knows what to expect during marriage and how to navigate through difference. Please contact our Imam for more details.
If you would like to speak to someone about a personal issue, we are here for you. IOST offers counseling for both brothers and sisters, and can help you with a personal problem. We have both female and male counselors availble.
If you would like the community to make dua for you or a family members, please let the Imam know. He will make dua and an announcement during the Friday prayers. The Imam is also available for Ruqya, and help with jinns, etc.
The IOST has a full fledged library with over 5,000 titles and counting. Stop by the library when you are at the mosque to check our a book. If you have a research project about Islam, stop by to learn more. The library is located at the mosque, and its hours vary throughout the year. Please see the library door for hours and timings.
IOST offers zakat distribution, as well as financial help with groceries, rent, utilities, and more. Additionally, we can help you connect with resources if you are struggling financially. We also have clothing items available for those who need it. Please contact our Imam to learn more.
Are you in need of a place to hold your wedding or Aqiqah? IOST has 3 halls available to rent out in which food can be served. Islamic guidelines should be observed throughout. Please contact Imam to book a time and see availability.
Are you having difficulty with your spouse and need someone to mediate? Business partners having trouble? Our Imam can mediate according to Islamic guidelines, provided both parties consent to the arbitration.
