The Words of Wisdom Library is now open to the community. Located at the 2nd Floor of the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier. With over 4,000 titles & counting, the library is a community resource for all.

What does the library do?
The Words of Wisdom Library is a space that is open to the community and aims to provide a sanctified space for Muslims to seek knowledge and strengthen their faith through the study and reflection of a carefully curated & selected Islamic literature collection.
Lending
Books are available for lending free of charge to all patrons of the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier. Besides books, other material is also available for borrowing.
Research
The library has trained individuals on hand to help learn about different aspects of Islam, and also to guide one towards the right material for research purposes. Book reviews and recommendations will also be featured.
Purchasing/Bookstore
Popular titles and recommended books by the IOST religious leadership are available for purchase to help with the costs of running the library. The library also facilitates book purchasing through our discounts.
Resources
Not able to purchase a book yourself, or only need a book for a short while? Request the library to purchase on your behalf and make it a resource for others as well!
Events
The library will hold different events throughout the year for different age groups, aimed at culminating interests in reading and learning.
Space
The library space is available for relaxation and is also a space to study and hold meetings. If you would like to book the space for your personal event/meeting, please visit iost.org/library.
The Library Space
The library space is intended to be a library, study area, meeting area, classroom, youth lounge, coffee shop, merch store, community room & showcase, babysitting/childcare area, children’s play area, and much more. It is a multi-use space.

The Words of Wisdom Library will be run entirely through a perpetual endowment. All funds donated to the library will be invested and the profit will be used for the running of the library. A single $10 donation will buy 30 books for the library over 15 years!
