What is the date and time of the Qur’an Competition?
Who can participate in the Qur’an Competition?
What Surahs will be recited during the competition?
Participants will be reciting the following Surahs based on their age groups:
Group A (Ages 5–8 years): Surah Aadiyaat
Group B (Ages 8–10 years): Surah A’laa
Group C (Ages 11–15 years): Surah Naba
Group D (All Ages): Surah Hujuraat
No matter your age or experience level, there’s a category for everyone, and we look forward to hearing your recitation!
Who are the judges for the competition?
The competition will be judged by a panel of esteemed individuals:
Imam Sofian Mayet: (Imam, IOST)
Imam Shaker Ali: (IQRA Cultural Center Imam)
Ustadh Ahmad Mohammad: (IOST Qur’an Teacher)
Br. Abdullah Hussain: (Prayer Leader, Dubai House)

Our judges are knowledgeable and passionate about the Qur’an, ensuring a fair and uplifting evaluation process.
What are the evaluation criteria for the participants?
Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Pronunciation: Accuracy in reading each letter according to the correct rules.
Tajweed: Correctly stretching each word with precise nasal sounds.
Memorization: Ability to recite the Surahs fluently and without mistakes.
Beauty: The tone quality and the ability to embellish or sing the recitation.
These criteria will help you understand what is expected while providing a pathway to enhance your skills!
Are there any prizes for the winners?
Yes, there will be exciting prizes awarded:
1. Participation Gift: Every contestant will receive a participation gift as a token of our appreciation for their effort.
2. Top Winners: The top 2 contestants from each group will receive trophies.
3. Grand Prizes: A total prize pool of over $2,000 will be awarded to the winners, making this competition not just a showcase of talent, but also an opportunity for significant rewards.
4. Award Ceremony: Winners will be announced during the celebration on the 27th Night of Ramadan.
5. Private Recitation: Each participant will recite privately to the judges without an audience, ensuring a comfortable setting. Only the winners will be invited to recite publicly on the 27th Night.

To prepare effectively, participants are encouraged to:
Start Early: Begin memorizing as soon as possible to build confidence.

Practice: Seek personalized assistance and refinement from Imam Anas or Imam Sofian whenever possible.
