IOST's Services

What does the fee for your Nikah services cover?
Our fees are a means to support the blessed and premier services we provide to our community. They reflect the high quality of our facilities, the spiritual guidance of our English-speaking Imam, and the beautiful, picturesque background our mosque offers for your sacred ceremony. This ensures your Nikah is conducted with the utmost care and respect, from pre-marital counseling to the final documentation.
Are free Nikah services available?
While we strive to make our services accessible, the fee helps us maintain the high standard of care for our community. May Allah (SWT) bless your search; we humbly suggest you contact other local masjids to inquire about their specific policies.
What do we receive after the Nikah ceremony?
Upon the completion of your sacred union, you will be presented with a beautiful Nikah certificate. This document serves as the official proof of your marriage in the eyes of Allah (SWT) and our community.
Can we have an Islamic Nikah without a civil marriage?
In our community, we believe in upholding the rights of both spouses in the best possible way. Therefore, our policy is that an Islamic Nikah can only be performed after a valid civil marriage has been completed, ensuring your union is protected both legally and Islamically.
Can we schedule our Nikah ceremony on the same day?
A same-day Nikah is not permitted, as we wish to honor this blessed occasion with proper preparation. We kindly require you to meet with the Imam a few days in advance to ensure all details are finalized and to receive some spiritual guidance before your sacred journey begins.

TADEEFEN
Finally, the deceased will be taken to their chosen resting place, whether at the local cemetery or an alternative location, and laid to rest.

What is the fee for your funeral services?
The fees for our funeral services are a means to support the sacred duty of preparing our deceased for burial. The cost varies depending on the specific services you require, such as ghusl only, or a full service including our cemetery. Our team will kindly walk you through the options. Please be assured that no one will ever be turned away due to financial hardship.
How soon can a funeral be arranged?
In accordance with the Sunnah, we strive to arrange funerals as swiftly as possible. Once the necessary legal documentation and permits are secured, our team is ready to proceed immediately with the ghusl, shrouding, and Salat al-Janazah.
What is the Islamic funeral process?
Our team will guide you through the entire process, which typically includes four steps:
Ghusl: The ritual washing of the deceased.
Kafan: Shrouding the body in a simple cloth.
Salat al-Janazah: The funeral prayer performed by the community.
Burial: The deceased is buried in a dignified and respectful manner.
Do you handle the entire funeral process?
We facilitate all aspects of the funeral service, from ghusl and shrouding to the Salat al-Janazah. We are also honored to offer burial services at our own local cemetery. We understand that circumstances vary and can facilitate a hybrid model, performing the ghusl here with burial elsewhere, or having the ghusl done elsewhere with the Janazah prayer at our mosque. Our team is here to support your family’s needs.
