Tonight, Tuesday, March 17th, is a night of immense spiritual significance for the IOST. As we complete the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, we invite you to join us for a night of Barakah, community appreciation, and a vital fundraiser for our Masjid’s future.
🤲 The Sunnah of the Completion (Khatm)
We find a beautiful tradition in the practice of the Sahaba. It is reported that Anas ibn Malik (RA), whenever he was about to complete the Qur’an, would gather his entire family and make a long, heartfelt Dua, as he knew that mercy descends and supplications are answered at the moment of completion. Join us as we follow this tradition, gathering our community “family” to seek Allah’s mercy together.

8:45 PM – Isha Prayer
9:00 PM – Masjid Operations Fundraising: A brief 30-minute session to invest in your community.
9:30 PM – Taraweeh & Khatmul Qur’an: The final recitation and Grand Completion Dua.
Following Dua – Volunteer Appreciation & Community Refreshments.
💰 Sustaining Our Home: The “Two-Hour” Challenge
– Our Masjid relies 100% on local community support—no outside organizations fund our daily operations.
– Our Request: We are asking every working member of our community to donate the equivalent of just 1 to 2 hours of your monthly earnings as a recurring monthly donation. By giving what you make in just two hours each month, you ensure IOST stays open, heated, and active for our children and families all year long.

🥣 Community Potluck & Refreshments
To celebrate, we are hosting a community social.
– Bring a Dish: We ask every person/family to please prepare and bring a dish or sweets to share so we have plenty for everyone!
– Sunnah of Sweets: It is a beautiful tradition to share sweets during times of religious joy and milestone completions to foster love and gratitude.
