With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved sister and mother, Sister Saeeda Ahmed. Sister Saeeda was a revered, long-time community member, being a part of our community for over 30 years. She was a devoted mother to Dr. Owais Ahmed, Dr. Uzma Anis, and Sister Lubna Ahmed.
Janazah and Burial Details:
Janazah Prayer: Will be held in the Masjid Parking Lot immediately after the 2nd Jumu’ah Prayer, expected around 2:10 PM.
Burial: Will follow immediately afterwards at the IOST Cemetery. (100 East Maine Road, Johnson City, New York, 13790)
We ask Allah (SWT) to grant Sister Saeeda Ahmed the highest station in Jannah al-Firdaus, to forgive her every sin, and to illuminate her grave. May He grant her family—Dr. Owais Ahmed, Dr. Uzma Anis, and Sister Lubna Ahmed—immense patience (Sabr) and strength during this deeply difficult time.
A Supplication for the Deceased
Allaahummaghfir laha warhamha wa ‘aafiha wa ‘fu ‘anhaa, wa akrim nuzulaha… (O Allah, forgive her and have mercy upon her, and give her strength, and pardon her. Make honorable her reception…) Ameen.
